Research on the design of integrated solutions for the prevention and tackling of contemporary environmental problems is one of the main axes of TERRA NOVA.
Towards this direction TERRA NOVA participates actively in a significant number of National and European Research & Development Programmes in collaboration with other entities from Greece as well as from other countries.
Projects that have been implemented so far aimed at:
 the integrated waste management
the improvement of the indoor air quality and the environmental comfort in buildings (development of monitoring methodologies and good practice guides)
the desertification and the protection of biodiversity
the monitoring of air pollutants emissions
the management of risks during the transportation of hazardous merchandises
In the framework of these Projects, TERRA NOVA designed new innovative environmental technologies, policies and products for the integrated management of crucial environmental issues.
